About Me

Like many people, I have always been drawn to the natural world, and I’ve been fortunate to travel to some amazing wild places, to work with and study animals.
I trained in art and science – as an illustrator and an anthropologist, later specialising in primatology. I worked for many years in primate and marine mammal conservation and field research. It has given me a good grounding in species identification and a keen eye for details, as well as a fair amount of patience for hours spent with binoculars in hand or in front of a drawing board.
